We provide technical assistance to the members of our network (LEDAs or other similar entities) for improving their performance.
ILS LEDA supported the creation of 50 LEDAs throughout more than 30 years, through cooperation programmes of the United Nations, Italian Government, European Union, and individual clients in 18 countries (Albania, Argentina, Bolivia Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Kazaksthan, India, Lebanon, México, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Russia, Serbia, Uruguay).
Most of the LEDAs described (84% of the total) are still operating today, thanks to their own self-sustainability models, demonstrating not only their usefulness for the purposes of enhancing and developing their respective territories, but also the effectiveness of a design based on the participation of local actors, rather than on prescriptive regulations of laws or impositions from the outside.
The latter are part of ILS LEDA's network and receive a number of services, such as:
